  • How do I get started with Clinical Services/Therapy?
Finding a therapist whose approach aligns with your therapeutic goals is an essential part of the therapeutic process. Sarah understands the importance feeling comfortable and confident in your decision to start or continue therapy. She offers a free 15-minute consultation to new clients as a valuable opportunity for you to discuss your needs, ask any questions, and clarify any concerns before beginning services. During this time, you determine if her approach aligns with your goals for therapy. To start your mental health journey to wellness with Sarah, schedule your free consultation by visiting the Client Portal on our website.
  • Can I bill my insurance for Therapy services?
I do not accept insurance at this time. However, Clinical Mental Health Therapy and Services may be reimbursed by your insurance company. You may request documentation to submit to your insurance company following each session. Executive Skill-Building and Consultation services are problem-solution oriented and personal growth focused. These services are not billable to insurance.
  • What is the difference between Executive Skill Building, Consultations, and Therapy?
Executive Skill Building and Consultation services are focused on a wellness and prevention model of interventions with an emphasis on skill building. They are designed to be early intervention and focused on maintaining and promoting wellness habits and skills. Consultation Services are often problem-solving oriented and occur in 1-2 sessions. Executive Skill Building includes working with Sarah to identify specific personal or professional skills which you would like to develop and implementing strategies for change. The change process includes modifying and adapting those skills through real- life practice over time. Mental health therapy is based on a medical model of "illness" from which recovery is needed. The current US healthcare system has a set threshold of "impairment in functioning" as the criteria for which you are eligible for mental health services through your insurance provider. Mental Health Therapy services may be reimbursed by your health insurance plan, if you meet the criteria for a mental health diagnosis.
